A little of both and a weak opponent. I enjoyed the placement of his hands in defense, had the man kicked him in the waist, he would have defended perfectly.
I'd say more lucky than anything. His opponent didn't seem too impressive and he caught him early with his unorthodox style. I'm not necessarily doubting this guys capoeira skill, mind you. I just don't think that capoeira generally translates well into the ring.
I agree that it was luck, but whoa I have to admit, that was nice! The opponent probably hasn't trained/played with a capoeirista before. Another reason why I believe each and every martial art has something to offer.
