    Does "Kappo" really work?

Hi all. I'm begining training in Judo and I have attended about 10 classes, so I don't know much about judo. When I was searching info about the sport, I found that there are some kind of resuscitation techniques in case the practitioner passes out or something, they are called "Kappo" I think. Does these techniques really work or are just some old-school / obsolete medicine tricks?

Are these techniques better than standard first-aid?

Well... in Modern Judo the Ref's are not allowed to touch a player who is injured or choked out.

In the old days Kappo was really basic first aid stuff for common Judo injuries; hit in the groin, wind knocked out of you and to help people wake up if choked out.

It was never like big time wrestling where you had to wake them up or they would stay asleep forever.

It is still used in many Judo dojos, and is a valid application. Kappo is generally used to resuscitate a choked out Judoka, also used to ease the pain of a groin strike and other training injuries common to judo training.

adilenekate has posted expert sounding comments to other posts in, karate, taekwondo and now judo,
on taekwondo history, the best karate, and here advising
osrkd, an experienced karateka, and lkr an experienced
teacher of real martial arts, on their; "learning, as you will come to know everything slowly day by day"..
parasiting to all of these comments, differently named
references to, the same kids karate webpage promo
    [with products and prices]..

googling 'adilenekate' gets hundreds of hits
with a barrage of activity in april 2010..

    the first hit opened, 'sheffieldforum.com.uk'
has adilenekate advising there; "i am a beginner"
"i have been taking classes for 6 months now"
ending with; "want to be more tough?then why late, just
feel the difference by karate for kids at
    http://karateforkids.com.au" [sic]

the same webpage promo for kids karate in linfield
sydney nsw australia as in those above different
referrences in red to, that same website..

    question for "chief instructor caroline manly, taught in the ancient goju karate" according to that webpage;
who is adilenekate, and is this person bombarding
websides with martial arts keys to your webpage
promo material with your permission and approval?

my concern is as a member of this non commercial
ma site, and as australian goju karateka [iogkf]..
